Ordained Minister Reveals the Profound Significance of Communion and Its Role in Nurturing Spiritual Development in New Book
In "Communion: Our Personal Calvary," Finbar Desir shares revelations about communion bestowed on him by the Holy Spirit
GUELPH, ON, Sep. 7, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Communion is an invaluable gift, one that allows Christians to continually honor Christ's ultimate sacrifice. However, this sacred act is more than just a celebration of redemption and eternal salvation. In his new book "Communion: Our Personal Calvary: A Fuller Life Through His Body and Blood," author and ordained minister Finbar Desir demonstrates that communion serves as the foundation for a relationship with the Lord and provides access to other benefits that are often overlooked in contemporary practice.
In "Communion: Our Personal Calvary," Desir elucidates the meaning of communion, presenting critical findings gained through revelations from his intensive scriptural study and personal ministry. While communion is often deemed a symbolic ritual, Desir explains that Christ intended it to be a personal transaction, offering a path to fully approach God through the cross.
Desir also discusses the links between the Old and New Covenants and addresses common misconceptions surrounding communion. Additionally, he outlines the benefits that are made available through Christ's sacrifice, including spiritual strength and renewal, healing from ailments and deliverance from evil forces. Ultimately, through his book, Desir imbues readers with a better understanding of communion so that they may deepen their connection with the Lord and enjoy the full scope of Christ's sacrifice.
"This interaction between each of us and God the Father covers more than salvation," wrote Desir in the book's introduction. "It covers the whole range of our relationship with God. It is the greatest manifestation of the 'New Covenant' that Jesus established for us in His blood."
"Finbar Desir has written a biblically sound, well-crafted exposition of the Lord's Supper and the instructions that follows its observance," said Perry Maison, Servant Leader, Shekinah Glory International and Newpath Church, North Carolina. "This book gives a deeper understanding of communion and its benefits for the believer. It also places in the hands of the reader what I call "the tools of truth" they need for their freedom."
