The C.A.P. HD Duodenoscope is designed by PENTAX to improve the standards of treatment and safety for both routine and advanced ERCP via improved Clarity, Access, and Performance.
Clarity
The C.A.P. HD is equipped with HD+ high-definition imaging for enhanced clinical visualization. Combined with i-SCAN and Optical Enhancement (OE), it is possible to clearly visualize the mucosa in detail and locate the papillae for cannulation.
Access
The C.A.P. HD features the first detachable and single-use distal cap technology to be cleared and approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This design allows for improved access to critical components during cleaning and reprocessing.
Performance
The C.A.P. HD has introduced several additional advancements focused on improving overall performance during procedures, including a redesigned elevator for enhanced stability and control for precise cannulation of the papilla, an improved lightweight i10 Series Ergonomic Control Body designed for comfort and handling, as well as a large instrument channel to address ERCP therapeutic needs.
