Panda Sunglasses Partners with Kiva to Help Alleviate Poverty
The eco-friendly fashion brand will donate 5% of total profits to Kiva through the end of 2018.
SEATTLE, Dec. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This holiday season, Panda Sunglasses, a Seattle-based sustainable sunglasses and accessories brand, has partnered with Kiva, a San Francisco-based 501(c)3 nonprofit.
Kiva's mission is to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Kiva helps people all over the world make ends meet by offering micro-loans for:
- Clean energy expansion
- Planting vital crops
- Expanding a family business
- Attending school
- And more
Panda will donate a full 5% of all profits through the end of 2018 to Kiva in order to help fulfill requests for funding. Progress will be documented using the hashtag #giftingdreams on social media.

This campaign aims to aid Kiva's essential work directly through donation, and help promote Kiva with our wonderful and caring audience."
The partnership with Kiva is the latest charitable effort from Panda. The company also donates a portion of every sunglass sale to Optometry Giving Sight, an international nonprofit that provides optometry services to underserved individuals. In addition, Panda donates a portion of every bamboo watch sold to Pencils of Promise, an nonprofit that provides educational resources to children in need.
