Background:
For the past 5 years, the Riesentoter Region of the Porsche Club of America has conducted an evening drive in support of Philabundance called Phil-a-Frunk. (Porsche cars have rear or mid-engines, so the front trunk--frunk--is used for cargo.) Each year, the Porsche club raised successively more food until last year it was the second largest overall donator to the WMMR Camp Out for Hunger. For the last few years, a friendly rivalry developed between Jaxon's Jeep Club where the groups would compete to see which group could deliver more food.
The next logical step was to combine all the car clubs' efforts into one big event: Phil-a-Trunk. For the first time, all of the Philadelphia region car clubs will come together in one place during the day to support Philabundance and WMMR's Camp Out For Hunger. There will still be competition among the car clubs to see who can bring in the most food--but there will be prizes, food trucks, sponsor tents, and lots of great cars to see.
