Plantronics And Subnation Partner To Host The RIG Charity Livestream Event at DreamHack Atlanta 2018

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., and LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Plantronics, (NYSE: PLT) an audio pioneer and communications technology leader, today announced a partnership with Subnation, an omni-channel media platform that combines gaming and esports with lifestyle brands, to host a charity livestream and raise funds for the non-profit, Gamers Outreach. The multi-livestream event will showcase Plantronics' RIG gaming series of headsets with Dolby Atmos® technology and two prominent live streamers Captain16tv and gglindsayelyse, will both play Call of Duty ®: Black Ops 4 live from the show floor at DreamHack Atlanta 2018. The RIG charity livestream will also feature additional gamers and will be broadcasted simultaneously on both the Mixer and Twitch platforms.

The RIG Livestream portal will feature all live streams in one place. The goal for each featured gamer is to drive donations or solicit bids on auctioned items such as RIG headsets, a limited edition Volcom track suit and autographed MAXNOMIC gaming chairs. Proceeds from the charity event will help fund efforts to stock children's hospitals with Gamers Outreach GO Karts, which provide medical-grade video game kiosks as bedside recreation to children who are unable to leave their rooms in hospitals.

The goal for the RIG charity livestream is to raise enough monetary donations to build and deliver four Gamers Outreach GO Karts to select children's hospitals in the US. This will be the first of many live events for Plantronics and Gamers Outreach by Big Block, the media agency that owns Subnation.
