WHEELING, Ill., Oct. 1, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Project Management Institute (PMI) Chicagoland Chapter is virtually hosting its first-ever Community Day on Saturday, October 10, 2020, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm CST.
The PMI Chicagoland chapter strongly believes in giving back to the community and preparing the next generation of project professionals to take on the challenges of the next decade and beyond. To that end, PMI Chicagoland has designed a Community Day event for young professionals and students to learn project management and communication skills from industry professionals.
The chapter has also brought in Anja Blacha, the Vice President of Youth for the PMI Educational Foundation (PMIEF). Anja will be speaking to the opportunities provided by the foundation, who, for the last thirty years, has helped put youth on the path to success by inspiring them to achieve their goals by incorporating project management skills into their daily lives.
Presentations are also being made by Laura Davidson (PMI Atlanta Board, Chair-Elect), who will be speaking on "Life skills and how they align with project management," and Jamila Trimuel (Founder & CEO, Ladies of Virtue), who will be discussing this program and facilitating presentations by its students. The day will also be filled with games, team building activities, and prizes.
