Public Adjuster Rami Boaziz Offers Florida Homeowner Hurricane Tips
MIAMI, Sept. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Rami Boaziz, supervising public adjuster at Stellar Public Adjusting Services, has unveiled his tips for dealing with storms while hurricane season is in full swing in Florida.
The NOAA says that the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season will now be less active as we approach peak months, but in Florida, we know that it only takes one storm to leave behind massive damage.
Avoid the mistake of not being prepared for hurricane season by following Rami Boaziz's tips:
- Find a shelter close to home, and know the route you'll take to get there.
- Gather emergency supplies tailored for your family. Basic necessities are important but so are your family's specific medication needs, so have some set aside just in case.
- Watch out for water leaks.
- Keep your windows closed. Believe it or not, the humidity from outside could lead to mold if a storm has caused water leaks.
- Remove damaged trees from your property. If a storm brings heavy wind, fallen trees can severely damage your home.
- Take measures to prevent damage to your roof, windows, doors and garage. Use protective tools to secure your home.
- Invest in a powerful generator. Keep them at least 20 feet away from windows and doors.
- Remember to call a public adjuster in the event of property damage.
Boaziz, who recently launched his new website RamiBoaziz.com, is celebrating 10 years in public adjusting. Boaziz stated, "I saw a real opportunity to help consumers who were still dealing with issues with their insurance claims even three years after Hurricane Wilma hit in 2005."
