Pulse Light Clinic explains the difference between laser tattoo removal technology
PicoSure, PicoWay and RevLite - what is the difference between machines?
LONDON, May 3, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "There are three machines that are available for those considering Laser Tattoo Removal. It is important to do research on the right machine for your skin type and tattoo.
The PicoWay machine is manufactured by Syneron Candela. This laser is suitable for Caucasian to Mediterranean skin types on red, black and yellow inks. It is suitable for dark skin types on black ink tattoos only. With the PicoWay machine when treating black ink there is less risk of blistering. An average of about 8 to 10 treatments are required to fully remove a tattoo.
The PicoSure machine is manufactured by Cynosure. This laser is suitable for Caucasian, Mediterranean and Oriental skin types only. It can remove blue, green, purple, red and black tattoo ink. An average of about 8 to 10 treatments to fully remove a tattoo. Both Pico technology mentioned have minimal risk of scarring and are reported to be less painful than standard lasers. It is known to have faster results than standard Q-Switch/Revlite technology which we later talk about.
The Revlite machine is manufactured by Cynosure. This laser is suitable for all skin types only on black ink only.
The Revlite laser is less powerful than Pico technology which could limit the risk of hyperpigmentation with shaded ink.
An average of 12 to 14 treatments are required to fully remove a tattoo and an average of 2 treatments for shaded black inks. This laser is generally cheaper than Pico Technology."
