Raindrop Launches Public Relations Division, Enhances Social Media Offerings
SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) March 05, 2019 -- Raindrop, the San Diego-based creative agency that serves clients in all aspects of brand development and relationship building, recently increased its social media capabilities and added public relations to its marketing arsenal. The new PR and social media division will be led by communications powerhouse Carrie Jones, who joins Raindrop as chief PR and social officer from MeadsDurket where she served as vice president of PR and social media.
For nearly two decades, Jones, an award-winning media strategist, has been leading her clients to PR and social greatness. With an extensive background in industries such as hospitality, tourism, lifestyle, non-profits and consumer packaged goods, Jones’ current clients include the Del Mar Racetrack, San Diego Symphony, Jazzercise and Soapy Joe’s.
In her previous roles, Jones has developed and executed award-winning PR and social media programs for clients such as Tiffany & Co., Harrah’s Resort Southern California, Breeders’ Cup, Seaport Village and The San Diego Museum of Art. Jones is supported by an all-star team with a range of experiences, including senior PR manager Kelsey Buller, a former magazine editor who led PR efforts for the Cleveland Clinic's third face transplant.
“Carrie is truly a force to be reckoned with in the PR world, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to the Raindrop family,” said Jacques Spitzer, founder and chief creative officer at Raindrop. “The launch of our PR division, in addition to the elevation of our social offerings, is a game changer not only for our current and new clients, but also for the growth of our agency. Raindrop has been evolving and reinventing itself at an exciting pace over the last nine years and we’re committed to keeping that momentum going—especially in today’s ever-changing digital marketing landscape.”
With the expansion of Raindrop’s offerings, the integrated company now offers its clients public relations and social media support, in addition to brand strategy and identity, content and email marketing, media planning and buying, website and digital platforms, video production and photography and more. Currently in its ninth year, Raindrop continues to grow by an impressive 50 percent year-over-year.
Led by Spitzer and partner/chief strategy officer Adam Wagner—both graduates of the University of California, San Diego—Raindrop has grown from 5 to 40 employees in the last three years. Due to the expansion, the company, which works with clients in the realms of hospitality and tourism, non-profits, education and the arts, moved into a larger, 5,000-square-foot location in the vibrant neighborhood of Little Italy last March. At the end of 2018, Raindrop added a 1,200-square-foot stand-alone video and photography studio to enhance its digital content creation capabilities.
Raindrop works with a wide range of local and national clients including the San Diego Symphony, T S Restaurant Group, Worx, The Crack Shack, United Rentals, Soapy Joe’s, Dr. Squatch, William Painter and more. As the company continues to grow, its overall goal remains the same: to continue to build meaningful relationships and take clients to the next level.
