Recovery Unplugged and TellRobert Foundation Walk Together to Save Lives
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (PRWEB) July 06, 2023 -- Recovery Unplugged Behavioral Health is partnering with mental health advocacy leader TellRobert Foundation to bring hope to those facing addiction and mental health challenges.
In an effort to provide vital care to those with limited means, TellRobert Foundation will use funds raised from its recent 5K event to help individuals access Recovery Unplugged programs. The annual TellRobert 5K Walk/Run event was established to raise awareness, advocacy, and funds on behalf of the thousands of people across America who experience substance abuse or mental illness, but often face barriers to treatment and support resources.
Proceeds from the third annual event held on April 15th will specifically go toward helping patients access Recovery Unplugged’s medical detox and withdrawal management services as well as their virtual intensive outpatient (VIOP) mental health programs.
Recovery Unplugged has established five scholarships for patients referred by TellRobert Foundation: “We are deeply gratified to be working with TellRobert Foundation,” says Recovery Unplugged co-founder and CEO, Andrew Sossin. “It is our sincere and profound hope that these scholarships save lives and will be a starting point for future partnership.”

At the same time, the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) [reports that nearly 44 million Americans battle substance use disorder (SUD).
Both of these populations face financial, social, and logistical obstacles that prevent them from getting help that can improve their health and quality of life. Recovery Unplugged and TellRobert Foundation are hopeful that this partnership will help decrease stigma and barriers, while increasing support and awareness to more people in need.
About TellRobert Foundation
TellRobert Foundation’s goal is to bring awareness to the prevalence of mental health disease and drug abuse in our community, especially among young adults. The TellRobert Foundation’s purpose is to raise money for those organizations in our community who are involved with outreach and awareness programs to inform the community about the severity of
mental health and drug addiction. Our Foundation was started because Attorney Robert J. Fenstersheib’s son Michael, who suffered with mental illness and drug addiction, were both tragic victims of Michael’s illness.
