Restaurant Identities, Logo and Menu Designs Embody the Resort's Exceptional Dining Experiences at Rosewood Baha Mar
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (PRWEB) July 18, 2018 -- The overall Signage and Identity Program created for the newly opened Rosewood Baha Mar in the Caribbean include Restaurant identities and Menu and Logo designs which embody the resort’s exceptional dining experiences.
The identities are designed to express the style of the venue, to establish service expectations and emotionally set the table for the flavors to be savored.
As you saunter into the resort and stride down the corridor approaching the guest room lifts, you are beckoned into the “Manor Bar” by ten-foot tall glass windows evoking the old world charm of a 20th century bar. Each window has the stylized gold border design and the"Manor Bar" logo is silkscreened onto the glass. Rich, smooth tall dark brown leather menus are bound with brass screw posts, finished on the inside with rich fabric. Fine spirits and handcrafted cocktails are described on nostalgic linen sheets of paper.
Softly textured teal shantung fabric covers the menu book with delicate foil stamping, a reflection of the light and airy setting of the inviting "Library Lounge". Dark bronze divider papers give snap to the bright white pages which detail the elegant afternoon tea and coffee specialities as well as the delectable menu of sweet and savory pastries and desserts.
“Commonwealth" celebrates bold flavors and historical influences in a refined yet modern, all-day dining setting. The bistro style menus are chock full of traditional and contemporary dishes. Single sheets of natural white paper are set typographically with elegant rules and borders to highlight main and side courses, “to share” plates and desserts. The handcrafted signs mounted on the entry columns are polished brass, crowned letters with beveled edges.
The "Rum Room" menu boards take their inspiration from the centuries-old rum-making traditions of The Bahamas — dark soft leather that is rippled with warm gold rum streaks.
The grand staircase off the British colonial building leads you out to the Pool, powder white sands of Cable Beach and “Costa: Mi Casa es tu Casa”, the coastal mexican restaurant. Set in cabanas that seem to be floating in the lush landscape, we crafted wooden boards, etched and burnt with the decorative pattern. Large brass clips hold the staggered sheets with bold designs reflecting the lively atmosphere. Bold palm fronds were etched on the spirited pool menu boards which hold vibrant tropical illustrated menus.
Through the years, Rubino and her studio has won more than 300 international communication arts awards including the Star of Graphic Design award by the PDC (Pacific Design Center), and her work is included in The United States Library of Congress Permanent Collection. Rosewood London opened to great acclaim in 2013, the first property to implement the integrated Strategic Culture and Brand Identity Program, Rosewood Beijing opened 2014. Rosewood Phuket was the first resort in Southeast Asia. Corporate brand and property identity programs are on-going.
