Ring of Elysium Amazon Cup Prepares for Regional Championships August 10 and 11
Popular gaming streamers Forsen and Shroud will compete for $60,000 prize
SHANGHAI, Aug. 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The first-ever Ring of Elysium Amazon Cup is set to conclude with the regional finals esports tournament event on Saturday, August 10, in Europe and Sunday, August 11, in North America, where the final qualifying teams will face off for a chance to be crowned Ring of Elysium champions in their respective regions and take home a part of the coveted $60,000 prize pool.
Joining in the tournament competition will be popular gaming streamers Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek, in the United States, and Sebastian Hans Eli "Forsen" Fors, in Europe, who will serve as wildcard team captains for their respective Regional Championships. During the Regional Championships, the 20 three-player teams will fight for a piece of $30,000 in available prizes for each region, with third place taking home $5,000, second place $10,000 and first place $15,000. Throughout the qualifiers, teams have also had the chance to win a variety of weekly rewards and incentives, including Twitch accessories, Twitch clothing, Gaming PCs, Steam gift cards and Twitch Bits.

To reach the Regional Championships, players have competed in five weeks of online qualifiers starting on July 2 through August 6, in a new Ring of Elysium game mode—Ashen Eye, a mini battle royale arena where 15 three-player teams compete to survive on the map. Regional Championships will amplify the competition, including 20 three-player teams on the field fighting for top prizes.
