The BeeSense Air is a Non-Dangerous Goods (Non-DG), live sensor technology that is purpose-built to monitor the location and condition of air shipments first hand, from door to door. It works without relying on anyone in the chain of custody and without encountering restrictions on sensors imposed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) arising from the use of Lithium batteries.
The ability to monitor air cargo across all legs of its journey is critical to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) deliveries, especially at a time when industries such as Pharma, Food, Consumer Electronics, and eCommerce are tackling new logistics challenges brought about from air freight capacity reduction. This sensor technology is also being adopted swiftly by the COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers and distributors to ensure that clinical trials verifiably reach their target locations on time and intact, pre-empting the impact of environmental changes on vaccine stability.
The Non-Dangerous Goods (Non-DG) BeeSense Air technology generates first-hand visibility signals, irrespective of whether the package is in the hands of the shipper, at the airport, or on its last-mile journey. These signals help detect and predict critical logistics anomalies, such as if a package is segregated from the lot, if it missed loading the flight, or if it took-off on the wrong flight. You will also be alerted if the consignment is handled incorrectly, if it is facing a temperature or humidity excursion in airport storage or on the tarmac, and if the estimated time of arrival (ETA) is impacted.
