Rockies Venture Club Expands Educational Reach, Certifies 4 Trainers
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (PRWEB) September 28, 2018 -- Rockies Venture Club (RVC) today announced the expansion of its educational program. RVC has added an internal team of four certified instructors. Entrepreneurs and seed-stage investors in Northern Colorado – and potentially beyond – now have increased access to RVC’s education, events and execution. Four subject-matter experts from the Fort Collins area have been certified as instructors of RVC’s most popular course, The Pitch Academy, which helps entrepreneurs structure an investor pitch to better position themselves to effectively raise money for their ventures. The recently certified instructors - who are in the midst of training for all 15 of RVC’s core educational courses - include Michael Bennett, Bill Dieterich, Denichiro “Denny” Otsuga, and Cindy Skalicky. The training was partially funded by a Cluster Grant from the City of Fort Collins.

The Pitch Academy is a full-day workshop designed to guide entrepreneurs through the process of pitching to investors. The course covers venture capital readiness, types of materials investors expect to review during the pitch and due diligence process, preparing the pitch deck and presenting the pitch to audiences large or small. The course ends with the opportunity for entrepreneurs to rehearse their pitches and receive valuable feedback from investors, coaches and other start-up founders.
