Motorcycle Accident Reconstruction Wins Silver Award at the 32nd Annual IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award™ Virtual Event
WARRENDALE, Pa., July 23, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SAE International's book, Motorcycle Accident Reconstruction, was recognized with a Silver Award of Excellence in the category of Professional and Technical Reference Books by the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) at the 32nd annual IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award™ event. The book was one of 100 winners across 55 categories recognized for excellence in independent publishing.
The association hosted a virtual award ceremony titled, "Shelter-In-Place." The online program recognized Gold and Silver winners for reaching the highest standards of book editorial and design via category-specific videos.
Motorcycle Accident Reconstruction provides a unique roadmap for the motorcycle accident reconstructionist user. It is written by Nathan A. Rose and William T C Neale, two specialists in the field, who provide analyses of physical factors that affect motorcycle visibility, motorcycle usage at night, and human factors in motorcycle crashes – to the greater understanding of crash analysts, consultants and safety engineers alike.
More than 160 librarians, booksellers, and design and editorial experts, most of whom have decades of book industry experience, judged the books submitted the award program. The judging process took seven months, beginning in September 2019 and continuing into March 2020.
Additionally, Sherry Nigam, publisher at SAE International, was appointed to the IBPA Editorial Advisory Committee for fiscal year 2021, where she will work with fellow committee members on advising on the direction of the IBPA Independent magazine's content and overall themes.
