Entertainment Investment Company Announces Two Initial Feature Films Slated for Production
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Artists Film Group (AFG), a recently launched global film investment and entertainment company has announced today that it has acquired the science fiction thriller spec script "Back Home" written by Anne Vithayathil with Drew Mylrea ("Spy Intervention") attached to direct and Drew Van Acker ("Pretty Little Liars", "Training Day", "Lifelike") set to star. The logline has not yet been made public, but the film is described as a contained science fiction mystery thriller with heavy visual effects components. The project is being fast tracked into production with plans to begin principal photography this Fall.
"Back Home" will be produced by Wes Hull ("Zone 414", "Strive"), David Lugo ("Welcome Home", "Sensational"), Robert Rippberger ("The Inventor", "7 Days in Syria"), Sunil Perkash ("Premonition", "Enchanted", "Salt") and Drew Van Acker.
"Back Home is a riveting thriller where the audience is always one step behind, guessing what will happen next. Director Mylrea's vision can best be described as if Hitchcock made a modern sci-fi thriller where the audience delights in the created tension," said producer Perkash. AFG is also currently working on the feature film "Those Who Walk Away", written and directed by Rippberger and starring Nils Allen "Booboo" Stewart Jr. ("Twilight", "X-Men: Days of Future Past") and his father Nils Allen Stewart. "Those Who Walk Away", a high-concept horror film themed around male sexual assault, will begin filming next month.
