SSL.com Launches eSigner Cloud Signing Service for Document and Code Signing
SSL.com launches eSigner, a unified platform for cloud-based digital document and code signing with GUI and API.
HOUSTON, March 25, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SSL.com announces the beta release of its eSigner cloud document and code signing service. With the launch of eSigner, SSL.com is the only company offering a unified platform, both UI and API, for both remote document and code signing.
eSigner's certificates and signing keys are securely stored in the cloud and can be accessed from any internet-connected device, with no need for USB tokens or HSMs. Businesses and other organizations can integrate eSigner with their document and code signing workflows (including CI/CD), and software publishers and service providers can use eSigner to easily offer digital signing capabilities to their customers.
eSigner includes:
- Cloud Signature Consortium (CSC)-compliant API for document and code signing
- eSigner Express GUI web application for document and code signing
- CodeSignTool command-line tool for code signing on Windows, Linux, and macOS
Any SSL.com document signing or extended validation (EV) code signing certificate may be enrolled in eSigner, and the service offers the same universal trust as SSL.com's token-based certificates. eSigner document signatures are trusted by Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, and LibreOffice. eSigner EV code signatures are trusted by Microsoft Authenticode and Java, and offer Windows kernel-mode driver signing and instant SmartScreen reputation.
eSigner is currently in limited beta release for existing SSL.com customers, with full official launch planned for April 2021. Those interested in trying eSigner may contact [email protected] or call 1-877-SSL-SECURE for complete information.
