Sensio Invests in Third Wave Coffee Brand's Employee Expertise
NEW YORK, March 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sensio, Inc. today announced the efforts of Brim product specialists Lisa Mac Innis and Stephanie Kolos, who are pursuing the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Coffee Skills Diploma. The accredited SCA members will utilize their expertise to enhance the third-wave coffee brand's coffee and espresso product development initiatives.
Recognized as the world's leader in coffee knowledge development for over 30 years, the SCA is dedicated to recognizing, developing and promoting specialty coffee by setting and maintaining quality standards for the industry. The SCA provides educational programs with certified trainers that teach individuals everything they need to further their knowledge in the coffee industry.
As Director of Product Management, Lisa Mac Innis has imparted over a decade of experience and insight into the development of the Brim brand. Coupled with the support and expertise of Brim Product Manager Stephanie Kolos and their combined passion for coffee, the team has navigated the brand through multiple product innovations to its current third-wave iteration. To further their understanding of the industry, Mac Innis and Kolos have each passed the following SCA Coffee Skills Modules: Introduction to Coffee; Barista Skills Foundation & Barista Skills Intermediate; Brewing Foundation & Brewing Intermediate; and Roasting Intermediate.
In February, Mac Innis completed the Green Coffee Foundation & Green Coffee Intermediate, Sensory Skills Foundation and Roasting Foundation modules through a Honduran coffee-intensive led by SCAE/SCAA authorized trainer Patrick O'Malley of 3 Coffee Guys. Together Mac Innis and Kolos will continue to receive certification for each class in the SCA Coffee Skills Program and credits towards the SCA Coffee Skills Diploma.
