Shine 'n Jam Hosts 3rd Annual Braid Battle Virtually
Ampro Industries, Inc. will be kicking off its 3rd Annual Braid Tour with a virtual Braid Battle. Braiders from across the nation will compete against one another using live models or mannequins to complete various braid styles.
MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 5, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On Monday, April 26, 2021, Ampro Industries, Inc. will be kicking off its 3rd Annual Braid Tour with a virtual Braid Battle. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be the second year that the battle has been held virtually. Braiders from across the nation will compete against one another using live models or mannequins to complete various braid styles. The Battle will consist of four categories, each with four cash prizes.
The categories are as follow:
Category 1: Kids Freestyle (50 Mins.)
This category is for braiders ages 16 and younger. Each braider must braid 6 straight back corn row braids without extensions, to be completed in 50 mins. The registration fee is $50. There will be 3 winners: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place.
Category 2: FASTEST BRAIDER Man Bun (20 Mins.)
This category is about speed. Whoever can style the fastest braided man bun without extensions to be completed in 20 minutes or less wins. The registration fee is $50. There will be 3 winners: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place.
Category 3: Freestyle (60 Mins.)
This category is where you can show your skills, bring your A-Game and creativity with your fingers and a comb! Each braider's style must be completed in 60 minutes or less. The registration fee is $50. There will be 3 winners: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place.
Category 4: Stitch It Up! 6 Stitch Braids with Extensions (60 Mins.)
This category the judges are looking for even and consistent stitches, sleek braids, and neatness! Styles must be completed in 60 minutes or less. The registration fee is $50. There will be 3 winners: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place.
Each category will have four winners: 1st place $400, 2nd place $300, 3rd place $200, and People's Choice Award $200. The event will be held from 3 - 7 p.m. via the Zoom live streaming platform.
