Silwood Technology Partners with Collibra® for Enhanced Data Governance to help organisations Trust and Gain Value from their Data
(PRWEB) August 13, 2018 -- The partnership enables enterprises to quickly incorporate metadata information from their SAP, Oracle, Salesforce and Microsoft ERP and CRM packages into market leading Collibra Data Governance and Catalog solution.
Collaborating with Collibra has already proven successful in a number of joint engagements where customers, like Alberta-based ATB Financial, has significantly reduced the time and cost to accurately provision metadata from SAP into the Collibra Catalog, using the Safyr interface.
According to a report published in CIO review, the Data Governance market is expected to grow at over 20% per annum over the next five years as enterprises seek to ensure that they optimise their return on investment in data-driven initiatives and meet regulatory requirements such as GDPR. Collibra is widely acknowledged as a leader in this market.
Working with Collibra, Silwood Technology has developed a specific integration capability in its Safyr software for the Collibra Catalog, which is a single source of intelligence for data experts and other data users who need quick access to enterprise data. Safyr is used to extract content-rich metadata from source ERP or CRM packages. The software gives data analysts and architects the ability to navigate, search, analyse and subset that information into Safyr Subject Areas, which reflect business concepts such as Bill of Materials, Sales Order Process or Customer Master Data.
The Silwood/Collibra integration enables the user to populate the Collibra Catalog directly with metadata from these very challenging sources. Collibra and its partners can now resell Safyr with the direct integration capability.
As an early adopter of this joint solution, ATB Financial was able to import significant amounts of metadata into Collibra using the new Safyr Capability.
