Simon and Schuster’s Adams Media Acquires Archway Publishing Book 'Don’t Burn Your Toast'
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (PRWEB) January 09, 2019 -- Adams Media, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, and Archway Publishing, a self-publishing service operated for Simon & Schuster by Author Solutions, LLC, announced today that Adams has acquired publication rights to "Don’t Burn Your Toast: THE Guide to an Unforgettable Wedding Speech" by Pete Honsberger. Originally self-published through Archway in April 2017, the book will be retitled as "Wedding Toasts 101" and released in December of this year.
Adams Media vice president and publisher, Karen Cooper, said they first became aware of the book at the exclusive Archway Authors’ Reception at Book Expo America. Cooper added, “We were drawn to this particular book because Pete clearly knows what it takes to give the best best man—or maid of honor—speech. His entertaining voice, myriad scenarios, and actionable tips will help just about anyone turn an otherwise stress-inducing obligation into a fun and memorable opportunity.”
Honsberger, when hearing of the interest in his book, said, “As a self-published author, this is what you dream of, though you don’t ever think you will be the one getting the call from the publisher. But I did, and I couldn’t be more excited to work with the Adams Media team.”
"Wedding Toasts 101" will be available in both print and electronic formats starting in December 2019.
