Sip Wine, Save the Lives of Cats & Dogs at Kirkland Uncorked
Washington's biggest Summer wine fest returns to Kirkland, July 12-14
KIRKLAND, Wash., July 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Thousands of wine lovers raise a glass to raise money for homeless animals at Kirkland Uncorked (http://www.KirklandUncorked.com), July 12th, 13th and 14th. The 13th annual summer wine festival features 80 Washington wines, local grillers and a craft market all in Kirkland's Marina Park. Kirkland Uncorked is a fundraiser for Woodinville's Homeward Pet Adoption Center, one of the state's leading non-profit, no-kill animal shelters.
"Kirkland Uncorked is an absolute can't-miss event for anyone who enjoys sipping amazing wine in one of the most picturesque places in our region," says Phil Megenhardt, president of Bold Hat Productions and the wine festival. "Summer on the Kirkland waterfront is absolutely beautiful. We're excited to welcome our biggest collection of wines we've ever had at the event, all while raising money to support Homeward Pet Adoption Center."
Many of the state's top wineries share their best varietals during the three-day event, held along the Lake Washington shore in scenic Marina Park. Reds, Whites and Craft Brews will be available to refresh every palette. Plus, guests can enjoy a Friday Burger Brawl where the Eastside's best burger will be crowned, a Saturday Food Truck Feast, a head-to-head Grilling Competition between two professional chefs and more.
These year's 80-varietal wine lineup is headlined by 15 different Rosé wines, all offered by Washington wineries. Rosé wines continue to be popular among festival guests, so much so that this year's Kirkland Uncorked Signature Wine for sale is a Rosé from Silver Lake Winery.
The event's Signature Wine will be for sale in full bottles, along with all other varietals being sampled in the event, inside the Kirkland Uncorked Wine Shop. Guests enjoy big savings by purchasing bottles at the event tax-free. Bottles may be purchased to take home, or opened and enjoyed inside the event.
Tickets can be purchased online at KirklandUncorked.com or at select Fred Meyer store locations and are $25. Ticket prices increase beginning July 12.
Kirkland Uncorked is split into two parts, a 21+ Tasting Garden and an all ages Street Fair. The Tasting Garden features sampling of 80 Washington wines, live music, restaurant tastings, beer tent, summer cocktail and more. The Street Fair features a Boat Show, the Uncorked Craft Market, the CityDog Magazine Dog Modeling Contest, and a Saturday Food Truck Feast.
