Smiles for Everyone Foundation Delivers Smiles in Paraguay
Foundation Partnered with Smile Brands and Diaconia to Provide Free Dental Care to Over 550 People
IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Smiles for Everyone Foundation announced the successful completion of its international outreach trip to Paraguay to deliver dental care, supplies and training in some of the most impoverished communities surrounding the capital, Asunción, as part of their continuing International Smile Project.
In partnership with Diaconia, a local NGO with the mission to empower those living in poverty to live with dignity and freedom, the Smiles for Everyone Foundation has supported year-round dental outreaches in Paraguay since 2011. During this trip, Smile Brands Inc. affiliated dental providers and support staff provided care to over 550 individuals at orphanages, community centers and schools.
Local Paraguayan dentists partnered with the team throughout the week, working side by side with the Foundation dentists to learn complex dental procedures. During the six days of outreaches, the local dentists were also trained on working with the portable dental equipment so they can continue to deliver smiles in their communities throughout the year.
