NYC 144, which goes into effect on July 5, 2023, prohibits employers or employment agencies from using an automated employment decision tool (AEDT) for an employment decision unless: the tool is audited annually; the employer publishes a public summary of the audit; and applicants and employees are provided certain notices by employers who are subject to screening by the AEDT.
