South Carolina Democratic Party Announces H Code Will Co-Host After-Party for Presidential Debate
Event will feature diverse Democratic leaders across the state including Mayor of Columbia Stephen Benjamin and others
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 20, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The South Carolina Democratic Party (SCDP) and H Code announced today they will host an after party following the 10th Democratic Presidential Debate in Charleston on Tuesday, February 25th. The event will celebrate the strength of growing a diverse electorate and honor Democratic leaders across the state, including Columbia Mayor and former President of the US Conference of Mayors, Steve Benjamin.

In addition to Steve Benjamin, other leaders in attendance will include Antjuan Seawright, CEO of Blueprint Strategy; Mayra Rivera Vazquez, Beaufort County Democratic Party chair; Elizabeth Rivera, Newberry County executive committeewoman; Representative Krystle Matthews; and SCDP Hispanic Caucus chairs, Evelyn Lugo and Elias Valentin II. H Code will be recognizing these guests of honor with the Changemakers in Democratic Diversity award for their impact on the Palmetto State and their leadership in ensuring that diversity and inclusion are top values across South Carolina. H Code's work as a change agent during the 2020 election season has brought education and awareness of the influential U.S. Hispanic community, and this award highlights prominent community leaders who are doing the same.

The party will be held at Elévé Rooftop and Bar located at the top of the Bohemian Grand Hotel in Downtown Charleston and will be attended by more than 400 Democratic activists and elected officials. Attendees will hear from party officials, who will congratulate our honorees and discuss South Carolina Democrats' important role in selecting the Party's Presidential nominee.
