Sparx Systems Supports Development of the International Standard for Land Administration Data Model (LADM)
CRESWICK, Australia (PRWEB) August 22, 2018 -- The international standard on land administration, ISO 19152 Geographic information Land Administration Domain Model (LADM) enables land administration information from different sources to be combined in meaningful ways. The standard can be adapted for local situations and covers basic information related to components of land administration, including those over land, in water, below the surface and above the ground.
ISO 19152 has proven especially important for less developed countries, particularly with respect to wealth creation through land acquisition and ownership. The standard has become the basis for a global set of national land administration profiles. A new project has now been established to resolve how the current standard can be further developed to meet new requirements from different domains. Several organizations will take part in the development, including OGC, IHO, FIG, United Nations Office of Legal Affairs, Division for Ocean Affairs and Laws of the Sea (DOALOS), World Bank, FAO, UN-Habitat and RICS.
Sparx Systems is supporting these organizations ISO TC/211, IHO and OGC with the provision of Enterprise Architect licences for standards development and Pro Cloud Server for collaboration.
