St. John's University Launches a New, Online Master of Public Health Degree
NEW YORK (PRWEB) July 11, 2018 -- St. John’s University is adding a new online Master of Public Health program to its already robust roster of Internet-based academic programs. Like its other online degrees, the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) is designed to fit the lives of busy professionals.
The M.P.H. prepares students to support health promotion and disease prevention efforts that have a real impact on communities and health programs around the world. Online Master of Public Health students gain expertise in the social, behavioral, legal, medical and economic issues that affect public health. They can apply these skills to address today’s complex health issues, protecting and improving the well-being of local, national, and global communities.
St. John’s online programs are designed to fit the busy schedules of working professionals who want to earn a degree without putting their careers on hold. There are no set class times, giving students the flexibility to study when they want, where they want, in accordance with course requirements.
The University is currently in the process of seeking Council of Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation for this program, which meets the core competency required by CEPH.
This M.P.H. prepares students to succeed in careers such as environmental science, health education, and clinical research—fast-growing fields with excellent salary and employment projections.
The online Master of Public Health program is now accepting applications. Classes for this program will begin January of 2019.
