String Sensation Michelle Jones and Violectric to Electrify the "Light Up Party" for the Iconic Hard Rock Cafe Sign at Las Vegas' Neon Museum
Florida's Top Acoustic and Electric String Ensemble Led by GRAMMY® Recording Artist Michelle Jones to Provide Live Entertainment on "Lighted" Violuminescence Instruments and Neon LaserBows - Plus, Jones Joins Legendary Musician Wayne Newton on His North American Tour
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Continuing a sizzling pace of keynote performances worldwide, GRAMMY® Recording Artist "Vinylinist" Michelle Jones, founder and lead violinist of Florida's top acoustic and electric string ensemble Violectric, will join the talented musicians in Las Vegas and provide featured live entertainment for the lighting of the newly restored Hard Rock Cafe Sign at The Neon Museum Light Up Party on Monday, March 4. The iconic sign, which used to light up the Las Vegas Strip at the Hard Rock Café, is the newest addition to the "Neon Boneyard" of the popular, historic museum, whose mission is to collect, preserve and exhibit illuminating classic Las Vegas signs.
Jones first performed a sold-out solo show at the Neon Museum in 2018 helping raise over $186,000.
In addition, Jones will perform as a special guest with "Mr. Las Vegas" Wayne Newton on his North American Tour in Florida and Las Vegas: The Villages, FL February 26, Avon Park, FL February 28, Bonita Springs, FL March 2, Clearwater March 3 and Las Vegas March 5-9.
"We are incredibly excited and grateful to provide the live entertainment for the Neon Museum's Light Up Party," says Jones. "I personally love the history of Las Vegas, and The Neon Museum captures that visual history through my favorite mediums: light and storytelling. It seemed a perfect fit for our illuminated instruments and LaserBows to play for this memorable installation of a sign that changed my life and led my career path to being the 'Vinylinist.'"
On performing with Newton, she continues: "I met Wayne while I was performing in Las Vegas last year. He asked me if I would come back and join him as a special guest on his show. I was surprised and humbled to be asked to perform and tour with him. It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with Wayne and his band, and I am so excited to be performing with him in my home state of Florida and back in Las Vegas."
Performing at the Neon Museum and with Wayne Newton is the culmination of a monumental year of performance highlights for Jones and Violectric, including continuous guest performances with Newton, Violectric musicians contributing to a new solo album and music video for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Jon Anderson of "YES," multiple sold-out shows across the country, headlining the Twisted Strings Music Festival, live entertainment for dozens of charity events and two new album recordings to be released soon.
