About the author
John A. Emery, MD, practiced urology in Southern California for more than 30 years. Dr. Emery attended the University of California, Los Angeles, on a football and private academic scholarship and went on to attend the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine. He interned at Los Angeles County Hospital, served as a Navy doctor with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and completed his urology residency at the University of Oregon Medical School Hospital. Dr. Emery is also the author of “U.S. Medical Care and Related Factors in the Vietnam War”. He currently resides in Merced, Calif.
