Supply & Demand Chain Executive taps Inxeption executive for Women in Supply Chain award
Award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company's supply chain network.
CUPERTINO, Calif., Sept. 19, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Stella Shultz, Inxeption's vice president of international, has been selected by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as a recipient of its 2022 Women in Supply Chain award.
During her time at Inxeption, Shultz created the company's international ocean network from the ground floor. She also stood up a procurement and product team to reinforce product development and procurement efforts. She has been in charge of vendor onboarding, pricing initiatives, operationalizing the service and opening up closely tied services such as CHB, Air freight and drayage.
Shultz is one of nine women in leadership positions at the industrial commerce technology company.
"I am proud to work at a company dedicated to encouraging fresh ideas to address the systemic issues of industrial commerce with a diverse and progressive approach," she said. "On the logistics side, we're helping our customers navigate unprecedented pricing and capacity issues, which creates uncertainty and fear-based purchasing decisions, by implementing new international spot pricing products and giving customers true visibility into their supply chains with superior market intelligence."
Inxeption promotes a new framework for Industrial Commerce by digitizing end-to-end supply chain functions from sourcing to final-mile through its Supply Chain as a Service ecosystem. Businesses dynamically collaborate in real-time with both suppliers and buyers through cloud-based applications to procure, finance, sell, ship and, most importantly, get paid for their products.
The Women in Supply Chain award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company's supply chain network. This year's list includes individuals from software and service providers, consultancies and academia, trucking and transportation firms, professional development agencies, sourcing and procurement divisions, and more, all who have helped supply chain clients and the supply chain community at large prepare to meet many of today's—and tomorrow's—challenges.
"When I launched this award three years ago, I was prepared for an uphill battle. I was envisioning a long road ahead in getting the supply chain industry educated enough as to why it was important to recognize women in the supply chain. But, this award, the winners and those who submitted nominations—both men and women—is a testament that supply chain organizations were already recognizing their female leaders; they just needed a better platform," said Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive.
