Support Lincoln, Nebraska Charities With "Coins For A Cause"
LINCOLN, Neb. (PRWEB) July 26, 2018 -- Coins for a Cause first quarterly celebration was held on July 24 to support local nonprofit organizations. After a successful event, the Mellow Mushroom in Lincoln is proud to announce $1,067 raised in support of the Lincoln Boys and Girls Club.
Guests who frequent the Mellow Mushroom in Lincoln often contribute spare change to the restaurant’s coin collector art installation. The Mellow team felt passionate about putting that money back into the community, so they created Coins for a Cause.
To kick-off the quarterly event, the Mellow team invited the Lincoln Boys and Girls Club members and staff to help count coins and receive their Coins for a Cause donation check. Attendees generously provided onsite donations to go along with the cumulative coin collection, and Mellow Mushroom matched donations.
“The Boys and Girls Club of Lincoln was a very personal choice. The organization is special to our team. A couple of our team members were proud members of Boys and Girls Club,” said Seth Salzman, Director of Corporate Restaurants at Mellow Mushroom headquarters. “Our goal and focus will continue to be supporting local groups that help make the future brighter for children and families.”
The next Coins for a Cause event will be held in three months. All Lincoln Mellow Mushroom guests are encouraged to drop their spare change in the collector in support of the next charity beneficiary, The Lincoln Food Bank.
In celebration of art and individuality, each Mellow Mushroom showcases work from local artists. The coin wall art installation unique to the Lincoln Mellow Mushroom provided inspiration to the birth of Coins for a Cause.
