Ex-Brexit Secretary David Davis said Government might cover this cost; and while some have committed to no data roaming charge post-Brexit, who really knows?,” added Mark.
Insurance is essential, yet one in ten never buy it and one in six leave it ‘til travel day. If Brexit negotiations go to the wire and political brinkmanship begins, currency markets will almost certainly become more volatile, so it may be best not to leave your euros or other currencies benchmarked to the Euro until the eve of travel, either.
“Next year everyone travelling to Europe needs adequate travel insurance more than ever,” added Colonnese. “In hindsight, the Y2K bug didn’t cause too many problems but until Brexit comes and goes, travellers are advised to act cautiously,” concluded Mark.
