The Bricata Comprehensive Network Protection Platform Earns FIPS 140-2 Validation for Encryption

The FIPS 140-2 validation was granted after an independently accredited lab put the Bricata encryption module through a rigorous NIST-specified series of tests, managed by SafeLogic. After assessing conformance with the FIPS 140-2 standard, the module’s test report was sent to the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP), operated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) of Canada. By completing the FIPS 140-2 validation process, the Bricata platform is now eligible for procurement by U.S. federal agencies, including the Department of Defense. In addition, the standard is widely used in regulated industries such as utilities, financial services, and healthcare.
