Aaron Roth joins The Chertoff Group as a managing director in its Strategic Advisory Services practice. Roth most recently served as the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) deputy executive assistant administrator for operations support where he led TSA's intelligence and analysis, global strategies, security policy, industry engagement and requirements and capabilities analysis efforts. Prior to TSA, Roth served in the U.S. Coast Guard where he led numerous operational assignments conducting counter-terrorism and law enforcement missions and held several high-profile roles, including serving as the strategic advisor to the commandant.
At The Chertoff Group, Roth will be actively engaged in the firm's physical security program focusing on strategic growth strategies, identifying business solutions and advising on policy implications across the defense and homeland security sectors. Roth will use his extensive experience in the military and government to advise clients on policy issues related to business risk, security operations and security equipment.
The Chertoff Group Announces New Promotions
Lee Kair has been promoted from managing director to principal in the firm's Strategic Advisory Services practice. Since joining the firm two years ago, Kair has utilized his expertise in transportation security and operations, homeland security technology and the government procurement and acquisition process to advise Fortune 500 companies on business, technical and policy issues. Kair is focused on staying at the forefront of advances in transportation security and is an industry expert on the application of biometrics, X-ray technology, cargo screening and enhanced security measures.
Ryan Hoffman has been promoted from senior director to managing director in the firm's Merchant Banking practice, Chertoff Capital. Since joining the firm six years ago, he has successfully executed over 30 transactions, most recently the sales of Next Century Corporation and H2M Group. Hoffman is also actively involved in The Chertoff Group's private equity investments, having supported the firm's investments in Delta Risk, LLC and Coalfire Systems, Inc. With more than 12 years of experience in the defense technology, security and government services markets, Hoffman is a proven leader in his field.
