The Jacobs Center Doctors Launch a New Study to Improve the Look of Patients’ Arms

SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) July 18, 2018 -- Dr. Stanley Jacobs, a San Francisco Bay Area plastic surgeon, is known for pioneering the SynergyLift™ after six years of study. The duo is currently performing arm peels at the practice—a new offering for the spring and into summer—and is also pairing a surgical arm lift with peels to excise loose skin and improve the appearance of the tighter skin left behind. As with his SynergyLift™, Dr. Jacobs is using TCA peels, which have trichlorocetic acid as their active ingredient. For his facial studies, he began with a low-strength peel (10 percent) and gradually worked up to 30 percent. More than 160 cases of facelifts combined with concurrent 20 to 25 percent TCA peels, made over five years, yielded results unachievable by either procedure performed alone, with no ill effects.

To measure the effects of the new arm studies, Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Culbertson are using a cutometer. This device, which Dr. Jacobs used in the development of his Stanley Jacobs MD skin care line patented in October 2016, employs suction to lift skin, then release it, measuring how far skin stretches away from the surface and how quickly it returns to its original position.

For the current arm study, the cutometer will show how effectively the combined lift and peel improve skin elasticity. Based on his proven SynergyLift™ results, Dr. Jacobs has high hopes that this new combination will also prove to be successful at improving patients’ contours and skin quality.
