The Libman Company Offers Six Tips to Help Get Cottages Clean and Summer-Ready

The Libman Company, a 125-year old U.S. manufacturer of household and high-power cleaning products, knows that this entails much more than just opening the curtains and taking the sheets off the furniture.

Libman offers some tips and a variety of cleaning products that can clear away the cobwebs and dust and get your home away from home sparkling clean and ready for summer fun:

1)    Clean fireplace doors with ashes
To clean the smoky, burnt on residue from the glass doors on your fireplace or wood burning stove, dip a damp paper towel in ashes and use them to clean the glass. You can also use the ashes from the fireplace to clean the glass window on your gas grill.

2)    Easily clean indoor walls and ceiling fans
No need to get on a ladder to clean dust and cobwebs from walls and ceiling fans. Simply use a cloth mop such as the Libman Wonder® Mop to clean walls without scratching. 4)    Sweep before you mop

Use a broom that is cut at an angle to reach under cabinets and into tight corners. For an inexpensive alternative to expensive deck cleaning products, try mixing equal parts warm water with white vinegar and baking soda and apply to the deck. 6)    Get out the big guns when you mop
