Taking cues from the resort’s seaside location and “grand seaside lodge” architecture, the newly renovated suites boast a clean, modern aesthetic. Clear days saturate the bright rooms with warm resplendent Pacific blues and golden sun rays while overcast days envelope the guest in moody Northern coast grays. Elegant textiles apply these palettes through soft textures blended with bold prints and organic patterns. While gazing out of the bedroom windows, the carpet – through pattern and color – becomes one with the ocean beyond creating a mesmerizing visual effect in which one seems to extend to the other. Contemporary high-end furnishings and carefully curated design touches – reflective of the luxury and sophistication of The Ritz-Carlton experience – are found throughout. Timeless classic details such as channel tufting and burnished brass fittings are paired with artisan glass chandeliers and gold sea urchin wall sculptures to provide a modern oceanic opulence fitting of this storied resort.
The Ritz-Carlton Suite
The crown jewel of the resort, the 2,000 square-foot Ritz-Carlton Suite boasts the best ocean views of the entire property and has been completely redesigned. The stylish two-bedroom suite sleeps up to six guests and features a palatial master bedroom with plush king bedding and awe-inspiring views of the ocean and golf courses below. The guest bedroom offers two double beds and panoramic ocean views. Travelers can enjoy entertaining up to six guests in the spacious dining room which adjoins a butler’s kitchen complete with bold blue cabinetry juxtaposed with white marble countertops in reverence to the ocean tides, along with a herringbone backsplash complemented by brass details that echo the geometry of navigational instruments. The natural beauty of the local marine life such as coral fans and shells embellish the open kitchen shelving alongside hand crafted white ceramic pottery. Guests will discover a spa-like master bathroom adorned with soothing wallpaper in hues of blue and white reminiscent of the rolling tides, custom-built dual vanities handcrafted to match the pantry cabinets, an elegant oversized soaking tub, and a separate shower. A walkout balcony and cozy fireplace complete the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Suite experience.
Signature Suites
Offering pristine ocean views, the 1,000 square-foot Signature Suites feature a fully refreshed, coastal-inspired aesthetic. The open-concept living room flows perfectly into the modern dining area which includes a chic table accommodating up to four guests, while the adjacent bedroom offers a grand, four-post king canopy bed surrounded by breathtaking views of the coast. Stately detailing on furniture pieces feel as though they belong in the captain’s quarters on an old sailing vessel. The marble bathroom features a luxurious soaking tub, separate shower, and blue wooden double vanity, all tied together by new soft blue wallpaper.
