The United States Air Force (USAF) names Astrapi Corporation a C3I&N Pitch Day Finalist

DALLAS, Feb. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Astrapi Corporation is honored to be named one of only twenty companies accepted to pitch to the USAF Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) track for $158,000 each in Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant Phase I funding. The presentation will be to a closed-door panel of USAF domain experts at the inaugural Pitch Day event in New York City on March 6th. Astrapi will also have the opportunity to present to a larger Air Force, industry, investment, and media audience on March 7.

Astrapi's Spiral Modulation provides an innovative, structured way to dramatically improve the utilization of spectrum for telecommunications. The additional capabilities address key problems in contested environments faced by the USAF such as Low Probability of Interception and Detection (LPI/LPD) and anti-jamming of signals, as well as providing additional data throughput enabling high-definition Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. Lower required signal power also enables reduced Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) requirements for both manned and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Spiral Modulation is also being developed for commercial satellite VSAT applications, funded in part by a SBIR Phase II grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Spiral Modulation is a dual-use technology that addresses commercial satellite, backhaul, terrestrial wireless, and Internet-of-Things applications.
