Tina Cole has been featured in Panoram Italia Magazine, in recognition of her contributions and dedication to the Italian community and her dedication to the arts and music.
TORONTO, Feb. 8, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Panoram Italia Magazine recently published an article on Tina Cole, a long-time presence in the music industry, and a strong contributor to the vibrancy of the Italian community.
The Panoram Italia article discusses her son's initial success as a musician, and how that success suddenly turned in an unexpected direction when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
"It was a really tough time," said Cole in the magazine. "Not only was it a health crisis for our family, but also a financial crisis."
For her then 26 year old son, it was also an emotional time, dealing with his life, his future and his dream that was ripped from under his feet.
During these difficult times, Cole conceptualized and co-produced the Mississauga ITALFEST, which had its inaugural year at the same time. It has since become an annual event celebrating Italian Heritage and Culture in this great country. It is held every year in August, at the state-of-the-art space Celebration Square which is located in Mississauga.
For Cole, being Italian is more than her cultural background, it is her DNA. Her Italian roots played a big part in the strength that she needed to muster to see her through some very dark periods of time. She lives her life with a constant appreciation and pride in being Italo-Canadian.
