Todd Bruce Joins NACDD as Senior Director of Operations
ATLANTA (PRWEB) September 24, 2019 -- National Association of Chronic Disease Directors CEO John W. Robitscher, MPH, announced today that Todd Bruce, MPA, has joined NACDD as Senior Director of Operations (SDO) at NACDD’s headquarters.
“Todd brings a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, analysis, and project management, along with years of experience working at CDC and in higher education operations,” Robitscher said. “As the Association continues to expand our programs and Membership, Todd will be a great asset in helping us continue to bring value and support to our Members, partners, and funders.”
At NACDD, Bruce’s primary roles and responsibilities will include: managing all hands-on operational aspects of the Association; assisting the CEO in the successful growth of the Association; and providing the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure the Association has the proper operational practices and controls, administrative processes, reporting procedures, and the human capital in place to grow the organization and to ensure NACDD’s financial strength and operating efficiency.
Additionally, the SDO will provide supervisory oversight to the Communications, Finance, Meeting and Events, and Member Services departments as well as the Office of Project Management. The SDO will operate in conjunction with the leadership team to ensure all practices and procedures align with the Association’s strategic plan and Mission, supporting all programmatic requirements.

Bruce has a distinguished record both as a management consultant at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and working for Johns Hopkins and Emory universities. In these roles, he led working groups and provided analysis for senior leaders, designed new organizational units and guided workforce transitions, and conducted program reviews to align human and financial resources and to inform resource allocation and strategic planning.
During his tenure as a consultant, Bruce was a lead member of the public sector practice’s People and Organization (P&O) Community of Practice. This team of experts with deep knowledge and experience in organizational assessment and design, change management, and leadership supported colleague’s individual growth and development as well as the growth of the P&O business.
Bruce earned a Bachelor of Science in Cultural Anthropology from Kansas State University and a Master of Public Administration from Georgia State University. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer, strives to be a better global citizen, and is a student of servant leadership.
He enjoys biking, watching soccer matches, exploring archaeological sites, reading science fiction, and cooking with his family and friends.
