Tulsa Remote to Partner with Pivt to Advance Social Connection and Retention for New Tulsa Residents
TULSA, Okla. (PRWEB) June 01, 2023 -- The rise of remote work and the borderless workforce has given rise to 71 cities and towns across the country incentivizing skilled remote workers and digital nomads to relocate there. Tulsa Remote is the brainchild of this initiative, which has brought thousands of remote workers to the city since 2018 by offering a $10,000 grant, housing, office space, and community to eligible workers who move to Tulsa to live and work remotely from there for at least one year.
The result? Tulsa Remote cohorts have generated millions in local earnings and have brought hundreds of new jobs. Like many Heartland cities, Tulsa has historically seen slow population growth, difficulty attracting and retaining highly-educated workers, and slim job growth. Tulsa Remote is working to change this.
A component of this success is partnering with organizations like Pivt to ensure that people can live, belong, and thrive somewhere new for the long term.
Pivt is the first social wellbeing platform for people on the move, providing the right support at the right time through community, content, and wellness check-ins. The average organization using Pivt will see a minimum ROI of 500% and ultimately data to enhance programs and drive impactful business decisions. Pivt is passionate about giving employers and organizations the best tools so people can take life-changing opportunities in unfamiliar places and feel at home...anywhere in the world.
While showing success supporting corporations and their relocated employees, Pivt is excited to be expanding its offerings to support city economic development programs, like Tulsa Remote by helping attract companies and remote workers, acclimate, find community, make the most of the city, and stay long term. Additionally, through Pivt wellness check-ins and comprehensive data, Pivt is able to help programs make informed decisions on how to enhance their program and identify the types of people who are thriving in these programs.
Lynn Greenberg, Founder and CEO of Pivt shared, “I could not be more excited that Pivt is working with Tulsa Remote to support the human side of relocation. I had the pleasure of visiting Tulsa and meeting with Justin, the Tulsa Remote Team, and Tulsa Remote members, and I was quickly blown away by the city of Tulsa and what Tulsa Remote is doing to drive impact to the region. I felt like I belonged and connected to the community almost immediately. I am humbled by the opportunity to work with an organization that is so aligned with Pivt's vision and I can't wait to see what we do together.”
“Every relocation is a personal and professional life-changing opportunity,” says Justin Harlan, Managing Director of Tulsa Remote. “Together, Pivt and Tulsa Remote are giving Tulsa Remote members and their families the best tools and support so they can make Tulsa feel like home. Loneliness in the mobile workforce should be a thing of the past, and with this partnership, it is our joint mission to make that happen.”

About Pivt:
Companies spend roughly $90k to relocate an employee to a new city, but nearly ⅓ quit within the first year of moving because the employee or their family fails to integrate socially into the new location. This accounts for billions in losses to corporations and creates immeasurable stress to employees and their families.
Pivt is the first mobile app designed to reduce turnover and improve the well-being of relocated, remote, and mobile employees. Founded on the belief that every relocation can be a life-changing opportunity, Pivt cultivates a social network with other mobile employees and families to share trusted advice, regional information, and make social plans. Pivt partners with employers, relocation service providers, and city economic development programs to support workers and their families on the move and specializes in making anywhere feel like home.
