Ultracapacitor Combat Humidity Challenges
VINATech has developed a new Ultracapacitor to combat extreme conditions that provides a range of Capacitance from 3.3 farad to 15 farad at 2.7v.

VET Series Ultracapacitors provides a range of Capacitance from 3.3 farads to 15 farads at 2.7v and also 2 series Ultracapacitor modules will be launched imminently. VET Ultracapacitor samples are now available and Mass Productions starts from the second quarter 2020.
Until recently, managing high temperatures was handled by de-rating actual working voltage of standard + 65℃ Ultracapacitor types, however, the new VET series of Ultracapacitor uses VINATech patented Anti Wetting technologies to enable a robust lifetime at 85℃ of 1,000 hours in 85% relative humidity at a full 2.7v dc working voltage. The new VET Ultracapacitor series also boasts significant Leakage Current improvements, ESR stability over time and Capacitance performance when compared to other de-rated 85℃ types on the market to date. Expected lifetime of 500,000 full charge and discharge cycles can be expected.
Humidity challenges will also be reduced as Ultracapacitor, the VET series of Ultracapacitor utilises benefits from the Anti Wetting technology and can withstand higher than average humidity levels.
