Veem Survey Finds 52% of Small Business Owners Say Supply Chain Disruptions Have Impacted Their Business
Veem's latest State of Small Business report captures snapshot of small business sentiment amid supply chain crises
SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 15, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Veem, a leading provider of online payment solutions, today announced the release of its quarterly report, "State of Small Business: You and Your Supply Chain." The report, which surveyed over 700 US small business owners, focused on how SMBs are navigating the supply chain crisis. In addition, the report covers how SMBs are offsetting disruptions in their supply chains by leveraging e-commerce and innovative technology as the crisis extends into 2022.
Below are some key findings:
- 52% of small business owners surveyed reported that supply chain disruptions have impacted their business.
- Almost 36% of small businesses surveyed expect a bump in sales during the holiday season.
- 44.8% of survey respondents consider e-commerce to be key to their sales strategy.
- Over 41% of small businesses do have international partners. Businesses with international partners typically see greater impact from supply chain disruption.
"As we look back on a tumultuous 2021, the supply demands are the next big hurdle SMBs are struggling with as they look to regain their footing from the pandemic. Ongoing supply chain issues are making it harder for businesses to get goods and supplies in on time, causing enormous stress for merchants looking to recover," said Marwan Forzley, CEO of Veem. "However, SMBs are quickly experimenting with innovative technology to help them adjust to this new normal, shifting to e-commerce to prepare for a busy rush this holiday season that will buoy an economic recovery for merchants looking to get back on their feet and hit the ground running in 2022."
