Veemala Victoria Persaud’s ‘“Wo-Man”’ is Set for a New Marketing Push
NEW YORK (PRWEB) October 01, 2018 -- Veemala Victoria Persaud would like to convey a message of hope to all those who are victims of abuse, social marginalization and intolerance. Having gone through these experiences herself, Persaud wanted to share with readers her success in overcoming these obstacles and to provide hope and inspiration for all readers. These objectives prompted her to write ““Wo-Man”: "Male to Female"” (published by AuthorHouse in July 2018). Readers may visit https://www.authorhouse.com/Bookstore/BookDetail.aspx?BookId=SKU-001183490 to purchase and learn more about the book.
Set for a new marketing campaign, the book tells the true story of Persaud, a child raised in Guyana by a hostile family in a society intolerant of her love preference. It graphically recounts horrific episodes of physical and emotional abuse, rape and rejection by family and society. After she became successful in her quest for political asylum in the United States, Persaud worked to transform herself from being a victim to becoming a beautician and surgical technologist. She undergoes a transition to womanhood that is for her, the truest expression of her inner and outer self.
“My life from its very beginning up until the present has been a wild roller coaster ride,” Persaud says. “While writing this book, I have journeyed through a landscape of memories and events that I had not always accepted or conquered. I hope it serves as a validation and a source of comfort to all those facing and conquering their demons.”
““Wo-Man”: "Male to Female"” reminds readers that anyone who is in an abusive situation needs to speak out and get help. “There are numerous resources available to those whose different way of loving meets with intolerance and violence,” Persaud adds.
