Village Dermatology teams up with local businesses to support community
Local dermatology practice becomes Title Sponsor for Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce Emergency Relief Fund
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Aug. 20, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Village Dermatology is helping their local business community by teaming up with the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce and their Junior Board for an event that supports the organization's Emergency Relief Fund.
"As the 2021 President of the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce, I am excited to support our Junior Board's inaugural event! The Chamber and community are fortunate to have such a talented and committed group of young adults to help promote our businesses and our life," stated Ricky Bromberg.
On Thursday, August 12th, the local Chamber of Commerce held its first annual event to support local businesses in the Mountain Brook area. To support the event, Village Dermatology offered to be the Title Sponsor, with all proceeds going to the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce Emergency Relief Fund.
The event was recognized by the Mayor of Mountain Brook, Stewart Welch, as he exclaimed, "We are all very excited about the Chamber's Junior Board first event and thank Village Dermatology for being the title sponsor. They are the perfect partner, and this will be a fun event for all who join us!"
This event will introduce Phase II of the community-wide collaboration. Phase I was directed at the restaurants in Mountain Brook and offered 100% of the money raised to support the wait staff and kitchen staff in the community. Currently, there has been over $60,000 raised and given to local restaurants for their staff.
The cause hit home with Dr. Jenny Sobera as she has been a long-time member of the Mountain Brook community and has served on the board for several years. "This event is directly helping individuals who live and work in our community. These are people we see all the time in our daily lives, and any time we can be in a position to support our community, we are happy to do so," explained Dr. Sobera.
The event and those involved feel motivated to help their fellow neighbors. Ali Money, Community Affairs Executive, confirmed this, stating, "The Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce Junior Board is excited to partner with Village Dermatology, our Title Sponsor, for the First Annual Thursday Night Live event. Proceeds benefiting the Mountain Brook Merchant Emergency Relief Fund will support local businesses as we conquer the national pandemic as a united community."
