Virginia Governor Appoints Shawn Mitchell To Virginia Board Of Contractors
Founder of Loudoun-based Modern Mechanical One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning To Help Oversee Licensing of HVAC, Other Businesses
ASHBURN, Va., May 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Gov. Ralph Northam appointed Loudoun County entrepreneur and lifelong Virginia resident J. Shawn Mitchell to the Virginia Board for Contractors, a license-issuing body under the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. The Board of Contractors is charged with overseeing construction, HVAC and other facility-improvement businesses, granting Class A, B and C contractor licenses in a variety of specialties.
Mitchell is the founder of Modern Mechanical LLC now One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, a Loudoun-based HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical repair contractor established in 2010. He is one of six members appointed to the Board, and the only member from Northern Virginia. The governor's announcement is posted at Gubernatorial Appointments.

The Board of Contractors meets regularly in Richmond for both Committee and Board sessions. The next scheduled meeting is June 17.
