Voyager HQ and Fareportal launch new travel innovation lab
NEW YORK (PRWEB) January 30, 2020 -- Voyager HQ, the global startup club for the travel, tourism and hospitality industries, is announcing the launch of a new, exclusive Labs program with Fareportal, the parent company of CheapOair and OneTravel.
“As Fareportal continues to grow, it will require more investments in new technologies and new business models. With our relationship with Voyager HQ, we’ll continue to make these investments and support the vibrant travel startup community, which we have worked so hard to build and is the first of its kind in New York City,” said Sam S. Jain, Founder and CEO of Fareportal, and Co-Founder and Board Chairman of Voyager HQ.
Through this effort, Voyager HQ will focus on their core competencies developed over the last three years that bring value to the entire global travel ecosystem and provide more opportunities to connect startups with Fareportal and other enterprise partners in the network. As part of this strategy, Voyager HQ will be moving into Fareportal’s new 66,000 square foot office space at the original NY Times building in Times Square, where they can host their signature events and be directly involved in product development.
"The main challenge many enterprise travel brands are still facing is managing the integration and development of their growth initiatives. We have found a way to manage that phase of the process and want to eventually bring it to the entirety of the industry.” remarked John Matson, Voyager HQ’s Managing Director.
In 2020, the community can expect more networking events that are currently operating in five U.S. cities and London. The company has plans to continue to expand this offering, helping cities around the world grow as technology hubs and creating local communities of engaged entrepreneurs and travel partners.
“By continuing to develop this resource, we hope that even more startups and established companies will also be able to gain meaningful relationships for their businesses on a global scale by leveraging Voyager HQ’s network”, added Matson.
Other updates will be to Voyager HQ’s digital membership and include new, impactful offerings such as digital streaming content, educational workshops, and more. The first new benefit to be announced in the coming months are white paper reports from a series of Think Tank sessions, deep-dive discussions dedicated to specific challenges in the travel industry. Voyager HQ has completed an initial series of Think Tanks and will be releasing the full reports, along with an announcement of the partners involved, starting in February, 2020.
