Waterheaterrescue.com has published two new articles on a new trend current among climate change activists
There is a new trend sweeping the country among those concerned about climate change who want to take action. It's called decarbonization and aims to move people away from the use of fossil fuels.
MARINA, Calif., April 27, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In Washington state, California and New York, climate change activists are promoting a new strategy called decarbonization, a move away from the use of fossil fuels for heating and water heating. Berkeley, CA has banned new gas hookups, and wants people to switch to electric only, with the hope that the electricity will be supplied by renewable sources. Likely this will result in greater use of heat pumps, electric water heaters and heat-pump water heaters. Berkeley has already been sued once over this and won its initial round in court.
Waterheaterrescue.com has published two stories covering this topic. One is a general description of the new policy, while the other comprises comments by Larry Weingarten, who pioneered the concept of water heater maintenance and with his wife wrote the Water Heater Workbook. Larry is much in demand around the country as a speaker on topics such as solar use.
Waterheaterrescue.com is the largest site on the Internet devoted to water heater maintenance and safety and comprises 450 pages of content and a forum, The Tank, with nearly 5,000 topics and nearly 20,000 posts. The site includes a modest French translation and a medium-sized Spanish translation. There is a section on how to make water heaters last longer and to identify and solve safety issues. Another section addresses troubleshooting, including a compilation of static indexed HTML pages covering common questions asked in The Tank. There is also a section on water heater uses in apartments and other commercial settings, and one called The Future of Water Heating where these articles can be found. And lastly, there is one called Fun Stuff, that includes a slideshow tour of Larry Weingarten's super-energy-efficient house, part of his antique water heater collection, awkward water heater installations we've run across in the course of inspections, and dangerous installations.
