White Oaks at McHenry Memory Care Community to Host Birthday Celebration
BRADLEY, Ill. (PRWEB) January 25, 2019 -- White Oaks at McHenry, a memory care community in McHenry County, is hosting a birthday celebration at 2 p.m. on Feb. 22.
The community, which is designed to serve older adults with Alzheimer’s or related dementia, is located at 4605 W. Crystal Lake Road in McHenry.
Guests are invited to join residents and staff to celebrate White Oaks residents who were born in February. Light refreshments will be served, and Jacquelyn Miller will perform vintage jazz.
The event is open to the public. There is no charge to attend.

White Oaks at McHenry features 40 apartments – 32 studio units and eight companion suites – and provides opportunities for residents to maintain a sense of purpose and belonging throughout the seasons of dementia.

The nearly 36,000 square-foot addition to Heritage Woods of McHenry, the neighboring assisted lifestyle community, completed the master plan for the 4-acre site. Each of the private apartments at the community features a spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning units, and an emergency alert system.
In addition, White Oaks offers other community areas, including two dining rooms, multi-purpose rooms, a winter garden, sun rooms, a fitness area and salon.
Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The community further expands Gardant’s mission of providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve in addition to the help with medications and personal assistance they need.
