William Mattar Joins 'Real Men Wear Pink' Campaign for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
BUFFALO, N.Y. (PRWEB) September 23, 2018 -- Each year, the blue William Mattar logo goes pink for the month of October in support of breast cancer awareness, and personnel from the auto injury law firm join the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer team. Last year William Mattar's staff used creativity in their fundraising such as planning an in-office escape room night, treasured bake sale and other activities to support the cause.
2018's participation is well underway as they have joined forces with other 'real men' in Western New York. The American Cancer Society is in it's 3rd year with the 'Real Men Wear Pink' campaign, and each participating company selects a 'real man' to represent them and to also work towards fundraising goals. The team at William Mattar decided to turn this into a unique opportunity and asked their attorneys who would like to be in the running to be their 'real man.' Candidates spent the week campaigning, and some even had a campaign manager to add to the fun of the event. Staff at the office voted through donation boxes and the attorney collecting the most in their box was the official 'real man.' William Mattar's victor was attorney Duane Schoonmaker who has already represented the firm at a local fundraising event in Williameville, NY. He has also pledged to wear something pink each day during the month of October as the firm continues their fundraising efforts.
